What to specify for a flatbed transport
No two flatbeds are alike: the load decides the vehicle. This is what we need to know.

Materials, pallets, bags, structures, machines: tell us what it is, not just how much it weighs.
- 02Dimensions and weight
Length × width × height and weight, per unit and in total. For machinery, the model or its dimensions: the type of flatbed depends on it.
- 03Loading and unloading
Crane, forklift, ramp, loading from the rear or the side: the carrier needs to know what to expect at both ends.
- 04Site access
Gate, clearance height, turning space, track or road: a long flatbed cannot go everywhere. Flag access constraints in the request.
- 05Protecting the load
Straps, wedging, tarpaulin: say whether the load is sensitive to wind, dust or moisture.
Materials, machinery, oversize: what changes
- Materials and pallets
Building materials, pallets, bags, steel bars: give the number of units or the total weight, and whether the load is uniform or mixed.
- Machinery and equipment
Give the model or its dimensions, and its actual weight with attachments. Tracked and wheeled machines are not loaded the same way.
- Oversize loads
Beyond a certain width, height, length or weight, a move is classed as exceptional and may require a permit or an escort. Flag it in the request: it changes the vehicle, the date and the price.
